Why use SearchMate?

Dating Events are a good way of meeting and can be great fun – we offer this service to our clients through our sister company When the Music Stops. Online dating also has some advantages – it can be very affordable, sometimes even free. It can offer you lots of choice and gives you access to many thousands of profiles.

But there are downsides:

• We have recently been made aware, through the BBC Panorama expose, that some online dating sites create false free profiles and people in chat rooms to encourage new clients to take out memberships.
• In the UK there is no vetting or checking of any kind of profiles to ensure that they are truthful and accurate, even the largest companies that advertise on TV, freely admit they can’t do this.
• There are many already in a committed relationship, including marriage, who use on line dating sites and are far from honest about their situation.
